Which areas do you cover?
I live in Ashtead, Surrey and cover the Home Counties and all areas within the M25. This includes Hertfordshire, Essex, Kent, Surrey, Buckinghamshire, Berkshire and Middlesex. I cover Central London if the venue has parking facilities. I am prepared to travel further afield, so please contact me with the location of your venue and we can discuss it further. More information is available on my travel page.
Do you come to my home or venue on the day?
Yes. I will travel to you for your trial and on the day of your wedding. Note that travel charges may apply. More information is available on my travel page.
How soon before the wedding should I book a trial?
Due to volume of enquiries, it is wise to book your trial date as soon as possible. It is advisable that a trial take place approximately 3 months before the wedding date.
How do I book my wedding with you?
On the day of your trial, if you decide to book me for your wedding day, I will require a £50 deposit to secure your wedding date in my diary. The deposit will be deducted from the final balance. Popular dates (i.e. May – August) may need to be secured in advance of your trial. I am unable to hold dates without a deposit.
How do I pay you?
At the trial, I accept cash and cheques; I am unable to accept credit cards. The deposit must be paid to reserve me for your wedding day. Payment for make-up on the wedding day must be paid in cash, either at the trial or on the day.
Which cosmetics do you use?
I use a wide selection of make-up brands including Becca, Bobbi Brown, Chanel, Clarins, Clinique, Christian Dior, Estee Lauder, Giorgio Armani, La Prairie, Lancôme, Laura Mercier, M.A.C, Nars, Prescriptives, Shiseido, Smashbox and YSL, to name a few! If you have sensitive skin or have experienced problems with any of the cosmetics listed, please let me know as soon as possible.
Does your service provide hairstyling, manicures and pedicures?
No, my training is in make-up, not hair or nails. My service is exclusively for high quality, professionally applied make-up.
Should my make-up be done after my hair is styled?
Yes, it is best to have your make-up done last so it looks completely fresh before you say ‘I do!’
What time will you arrive and how long will it take?
I work out how long it will take me to do your make-up (and bridesmaids, etc) at the trial. I always arrive early and ensure I have plenty of time for make-up so that you are all ready at a specified time. I will work this out with you at the trial.
How long will my make-up last?
Your make-up has been applied to last all day and the only thing that may need re-touching is your lipstick.
What if I have tanned since seeing you?
No problem; I will use a darker shade of foundation than the one I used on you at the trial to match your tanned complexion. I often mix foundation shades to achieve the perfect match.
How many people can you ‘do’ on the wedding day?
This depends on the number of people having their make-up done. I will be able to discuss this with you at your trial. I bring along an assistant for larger parties.
What if I decide to cancel my booking?
You must notify me of cancellation in writing as soon as possible. A cancellation fee may be charged; please see the Terms and Conditions page.
What if you are ill on my wedding day?
In this unlikely event, I have a circle of friends who are make-up artists and every endeavour would be made to find someone to visit you. I will pass on the make-up chart that was created during your trial to ensure the same look is achieved. However, if for any reason this is not possible, your deposit will be refunded. Please note: this has never happened before.
Do you offer any other make-up services?
Yes, I also provide a make-up service for parties and special occasions, as well as make-up lessons. More information is available on my other make-up services page.
